Deadlock movement: dashes, slides and ziplines

Deadlock movement guide: dash-jump, slide, mantling, ziplines and stamina. Techniques that win fights and save minutes.

Stamina is your fight resource

Dashes and jumps consume stamina charges that regenerate over time. Golden rule: never enter a fight on empty stamina and never spend the last charge on aggression — save it to escape focus fire.

Items and some abilities extend your stamina pool — for close-range gunners those buys often matter more than extra damage.

Core techniques

Dash-jump is the bread-and-butter distance move: a dash cancelled into a jump keeps the speed while saving stamina. Drill it until automatic.

Downhill slides accelerate you and make you a low-profile target — use them entering fights and retreating.

Mantling to rooftops opens angles nobody expects fire from. High ground in Deadlock is almost always an advantage.

Ziplines and rotations

Ziplines are the fastest way to rotate between lanes. The post-respawn zipline boost returns you to the map in seconds — but you are predictable on the line: hop off early when enemies are near.

Compare routes: teleporters and map tunnels sometimes beat the zipline. Knowing every path separates good players from average ones.
