Souls in Deadlock: how to farm properly

Everything about souls in Deadlock: last hits, denies, jungle camps, urns and farm tempo. How to build a soul lead and convert it into a win.

Where souls come from

Souls are Deadlock's main currency: every item costs souls. Key sources: lane creeps, jungle camps, enemy players, soul urns and objectives like Guardians and Walkers.

Creeps use a confirm mechanic: after the last hit, a soul orb pops out and must be secured with a shot. An enemy can shoot it first and deny part of the souls.

Farm tempo by game stage

In lane, focus on not missing last hits and punishing greed. Once the first Guardians fall, the rotation phase begins: clear nearby jungle camps between fights.

A solid mid-game benchmark is 400–600 souls per minute. Compare your farm with top players in the tracker — it shows souls/min for every match.

Converting the lead

A soul lead does not win by itself — spend it: buy key items on time and force objectives while the enemy is poorer.

Do not die with a full wallet: death feeds the enemy souls and tempo. Spend before big fights.
